CLARISOL 500 DISCRIPTION: Clarisol reaches high concentration in nasal mucosa. Clarisol has an immuno- modulatory effect which results in Significant reduction in inflammatory markers in the nasal mucosa And an improvement in clinical signs and symptoms of sinusitis. Studies reveal that once daily clarithromycin 500 mg (Clarisol) is effective against group A  [ 3- Haemolytic streptococci which is the  major pathogen responsible for acute pharyngo-tonsillitis. It also penetrates well into the inflamed middle ear mucosa and achieves high concentration in the middle ear secretions and is effective in AOM. less concentration variability while maintaining bio – availability. Prolonged absorption from gastrointestinal tract. Clarithromycin is slightly more potent than erythromycin against sensitive pstrains of streptococci and staphylococci, and has modest activity against H.} rifluenzae and N. gonorrhoeae.
