PIPSOL 4.5 DISCRIPTION PIPERACILLIN: The extended spectrum anti-pseudomonal penicillin. A penicillin –type antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. TAZOBACTAM: An enzyme inhibitor (beta –lactamase inhibitor enhances the activity of piperacillin .  A fever in neuropathy cancer patient . Safe & effective mono therapy comparison to ceftazidime. In the treatment of patients with infra – abdominal infections . Piperacillin /tazobactam appears to have a useful role in the Treatment of patients with intra- abdominal infections. IN GYANECOLOGY A combination of piperacillin & tazobactam is an effective and well Tolerated anti – biotic regimen. For the treatment of infections of upper genital tract in women .
